Call for Conference Proposals: 7th Biennial Conference of the European
Association for Chinese Philosophy (EACP), 2029 In line with its mission to promote academic and scholarly engagement with Chinese philosophy across Europe, and to foster a platform for fruitful cooperation and exchange of ideas, the European Association for Chinese Philosophy (EACP) organizes regular biennial conferences. The current Board of the EACP invites all members in good standing to submit proposals to host the 7th Biennial Conference, to be held in 2029. Proposals (approximately one page in length) should include: · The proposed location of the conference (any academic institution in Europe is eligible); · The name and contact information (including email address) of the person responsible for organizing the event; · A brief description of the venue, which should ideally be able to accommodate at least 150 participants. Optionally, proposals may also suggest a conference theme and indicate potential sponsors. The organizer will be responsible for the administrative management of the conference (i.e., collecting membership fees), while the Association's Treasurer will collect only the association membership fees. Please submit proposals in a single PDF file by 15 June 2025 to both: · Selusi Ambrogio ([email protected]), President of the EACP · Mieke Matthyssen ([email protected]), Secretary of the EACP The EACP Board will review the submissions and announce the proposed locations which will be submitted to the vote of the General Assembly of the EACP in June 2025.
